The traditions of Domaine Louis Scherb express the characteristics of the grape variety from which they are made. Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer are all expressive, classic Alsace varieties. Two blends, Edelzwicker and Gentil, complete the range. <\/p>\n

Goldert is one of Alsace’s 51 Grands Crus, defined by its specific terroir: situated north of Gueberchwihr at an altitude of between 230 and 330 m on marl-limestone soil, it benefits from early morning sunshine thanks to its eastern exposure, which protects it from excessive summer heat. The soil of this Grand Cru is deep and benefits from good natural drainage; moreover, this type of soil warms up slowly, giving the wines a fine acidity. The slow evolution of the grapes towards optimum physiological maturity enables the development of a powerful structure while preserving the finesse of the aromas. The Goldert Grand Cru produces full-bodied, elegant wines. The name “Goldert” comes from the golden color of its wines. <\/p>\n

Our Cr\u00e9mant d’Alsace Blanc (a blend of Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Chardonnay) and Ros\u00e9 (made from Pinot Noir) are festive and a joy to drink.<\/p>\n
